The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine returned to energy supply companies the right to cut off electricity supply to household consumers (including condominiums, housing and communal services, dormitories, DBK, & nbsp; housing and communal services, dormitories & hellip;) for debts for consumed electricity.

We will remind, earlier to the companies providing utility services to household consumers, according to requirements of subparagraph 5 of point 3 & laquo; Final provisions & raquo; Of the Law of Ukraine "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine Aimed at Preventing the Occurrence and Spread of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19)" № 530-IX for the period of quarantine or restrictive measures related to the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19), and within 30 days from the date of its cancellation it was prohibited to suspend / suspend the provision of housing and communal services to citizens of Ukraine in case of non-payment or incomplete payment.

Such legislative restrictions have led to a record debt of household consumers in 2020-2021 for electricity consumption.Market experts have even predicted a default for most companies in the energy sector.

& nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; Currently, the Law of Ukraine & quot; On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine on Simplification of the Procedure for Connection to Electric Networks & quot; № 1657-IX dated 15.07.2021. amendments to the Final Provisions of the above-mentioned Law № 530-IX were approved and the above-mentioned sub-item 5 of item 3 was deleted.
At the same time & laquo; Final provisions & raquo; paragraph 3-1 was supplemented with the following content:
"3-1. On the territory of the regions of Ukraine (oblasts, Kyiv, Sevastopol), where the" red "level of epidemic danger of coronavirus disease is established (COVID-19 ), for the period of "red" level of epidemic danger and within 30 days from the date of its cancellation is prohibited to suspend / suspend the provision of housing and communal services to citizens of Ukraine in case of non-payment or payment in full".
