The procedure for obtaining housing subsidies

to reimburse the cost of utilities,

in particular the supply and distribution of electricity

Today, the main mechanism for ensuring social protection in the face of rising prices and tariffs for housing and communal services is the program of housing subsidies, provided by the Regulation on housing subsidies, approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of October 21, 1995 № 848(as amended by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of August 14, 2019 № 807), according to which the state reimburses families for the cost of housing and communal services within the social norm of housing and social standards for housing and communal services that exceed the amount of obligations the language part of the payment, determined in accordance with the procedure established by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

The amount of the mandatory part of the payment for services for each family is determined individually by a single formula and depends solely on the size of the average monthly total household income per capita the lower the household income, the lower the percentage of mandatory housing payment -utilities. At the same time, the size of the housing subsidy increases in the event of an increase in prices and tariffs for housing and communal services.

To receive a housing subsidy, consumers should contact the structural units for social protection of district state administrations (by mail or in electronic form (through the official website of the Ministry of Social Policy, integrated information systems of executive and local governments or the Unified state web portal of electronic services), or to the executive body of the village, settlement, city council of the relevant territorial community, the center for the provision of administrative services.
